The Urban Herbology Team
Lynn Shore connects people with urban nature – to help improve health, mental wellbeing, and the environment. She is a consulting herbalist, biologist, and member of the Association of Foragers, and Trustee of The Herb Society. She has been teaching ethical urban foraging and self-sufficiency skills in Amsterdam since starting Urban Herbology in 2010. In April 2025 she lived completely on local wild and foraged food for the Wildbiome Project. Lynn runs an apprenticeship course and will have two books published in 2025/26 by Aeon Books. She is available for professional speaking engagements, workshops, and guided walks. Media links.

Livvy de Graaf is Lynn’s teenage daughter. She has been eating foraged food and assisting Lynn with all things green since she was pumpkin-sized. Livvy occasionally co-hosts Urban Herbology foraging walks and Green Treasure Hunts.

Tamara Last is a forager, gardener, birth doula, cook, craft-maker, mother, and interdisciplinary social scientist. Most at peace outdoors, exploring trees and soil, Tamara is especially interested in recalling adults to the wild and instilling in young children a deep and gentle familiarity with the natural world.

Yuki is an aromatherapy instructor, aroma hand therapist, mental-herbal therapist and mother, who moved here in 2021. She specialises in using herbs and essential oils to support adaptation to new environments.  Yuki offers workshops and courses, mostly in Japanese. 日本語はこちらをクリック

Refund policy
Public walk and workshop booking payments are fully refundable up to 24 hours before the event. If you need to cancel after that time (so less than 24 hours before the event start time) a refund can only be made if we can fill your place with someone else. For business and private event bookings cancellation refund is fair, and depends upon how much preparation is required prior to the event.

Apprentice only events
Please see the news and events page on the apprenticeship course website (visible when logged in) or email Lynn, for the details including times and what to bring.
