Today I was on a first aid course so not much time in daylight for photos but I saw this beautiful first aid herb on the way to the course – Ribwort (Plantago lanceolata).
This evergreen herb will draw poison from wound, will soothe and heal the body within and without.
Urban Herbology 
We have this weed on the property especially where the ground is compacted. As a horticulturalist we learn that weeds are indicator plants for certain soil conditions but we don’t learn anything about the weed itself. It’s good to see that this (up until now) useless weed has some good properties. I had best go researching today and stop pulling it out!
